Michael leads the BTP Engineering & Experience unit within SAP’s Technology & Innovation board area. His team prioritizes security, reliability, and next-generation user experience for SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP). As SAP’s leading platform, SAP BTP offers the technical foundation essential for driving customer success and enabling Generative AI-powered applications. Additionally, Michael’s team is responsible for the success of SAP Build and SAP Integration Suite. Michael holds a Ph.D. in computer science and a diploma in media computer science from Technische Universität Dresden. He has been at SAP since 2006, when he started as a Research Associate. Since then, he has held various technical leadership roles from Development Manager to Senior Vice President & Managing Director of SAP Labs Dresden.
