Roland Busch is President and CEO of Siemens, a leading technology company focused on manufacturing, infrastructure, and transportation. His belief that technology can solve the world’s biggest challenges has defined his career. Throughout his leadership at Siemens, he has shaped the company’s strategy to combine the real and digital worlds and make innovations, including AI, more accessible to everyone. As CEO, he has advanced that strategy by launching an open digital business platform, and expanding technology partnerships with companies such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft and NVIDIA. He also introduced the ONE Tech Company program to drive growth and bring innovations to customers faster. His three decades at Siemens span technologies, industries, and regions – from AI to automotive supply, from Erlangen to Shanghai. He studied physics at Friedrich Alexander University in Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany – where he also received his doctorate – and at the University of Grenoble in France.
