Chairman of the Management Board of IBM Deutschland GmbH and General Manager IBM Germany, Austria and Switzerland In January 2024 Wolfgang Wendt has been appointed Chairman of the Management Board of IBM Deutschland GmbH as well as General Manager for Technology Sales in Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH). Wolfgang Wendt has broad management experience as well as deep technological know-how with a focus on artificial intelligence and hybrid cloud. Since 2022, prior to his current role, he has led Technology Sales as Vice President EMEA. The Technology Sales division combines the various product areas such as hardware and software, ecosystem support and IBM's digital sales channels. Previously, Wendt held various local, European and global roles in technology, infrastructure and industry. He was also the CEE (Central Eastern Europe) Market General Manager in an extremely difficult environment – both business and political. Wolfgang Wendt has been with IBM for 32 years and holds a degree in information technology.
