Steven Ney completed his doctorate in the policy sciences at the Department of Comparative Politics in the University of Bergen. Trained at the University of London, Steven has worked on a wide range of policy issues in a number of research institutes including the LOS Center in Bergen, ICCR in Vienna and the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis in Laxenburg. After spending four years from 2005 as an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Singapore Management University, Steven took up the Chair of Social Entrepreneurship at Jacobs University, Bremen in August 2009. From 2014-2018, Steven Ney designed, led and implemented professional development formats at HPI School of Design Thinking in Potsdam. In November 2018, Steven joined T-Systems International, a subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom. Working with T-Systems customers, Steven designed co-creation processes to help develop innovative digital products, organizational strategies, and new business models. Since January 2025, Steven rejoined academia as Professor for Social Innovation and Design Thinking at the German University of Digital Science.
